Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a Project Manager for its Energy Storage Advisory team in North America. The role leads IE and TA projects from inception to delivery across energy storage and solar+storage portfolios, coordinating technical, commercial, financial, and contractual aspects.

You will interface with clients, contribute to proposals, manage expectations, and drive growth through trusted partnerships, while mentoring junior staff and maintaining UL standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of project management experience in professional or technical services, preferably in renewable energy, energy storage, or grid infrastructure.
• Proven client-facing delivery experience including proposal support, contract negotiation, and client relationship management.
• PMP or equivalent project management training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-lifecycle delivery of IE and TA projects for energy storage and hybrid renewables portfolios.
• Serve as primary client interface to ensure satisfaction and grow relationships.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, and risk; manage variances and change orders.
• Guide multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical quality and alignment with UL standards.
• Provide high-level technical direction to support analyses and conclusions.
• Manage project financials: forecasting, invoicing, margin tracking, and contract compliance.
• Support business development: proposals, pricing, and client presentations.
• Drive client engagement and cross-selling through proactive communication and events.
• Mentor junior staff in project management best practices.
