American Electric Power is seeking a Project Management Intern to support planning, scheduling, and coordination across projects. You will help track milestones, prepare dashboards, and document key decisions while learning project management best practices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Freshman year completed.
• Graduation date Fall 2027 to Spring 2029.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• No sponsorship, OPT, or CPT eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers with planning, organizing, and coordinating project activities.
• Support development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and status reports.
• Participate in team meetings and document action items and key decisions.
• Track milestones, deliverables, risks, and issues.
• Prepare dashboards, presentations, and project documentation.
• Collect and analyze project data to support decisions.
• Support communication among team members, partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Learn project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Assist with procurement, contract, scheduling, or project controls.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
• Promote AEP's safety and operational excellence.
