American Electric Power is offering a paid Summer Internship Program for current college students. The 10–12 week internship will be based in Columbus, Ohio and surrounding areas. Interns will work on individual projects, receive mentorship, and participate in training to grow skills in engineering, data science, or business with a focus on Supply Chain.

Relocation to the local area may be required. Responsibilities include supporting department projects, planning and executing enterprise

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET accredited) OR Data Science OR Business with SCM focus.
• Must have completed freshman year. Graduation date December 2027 or later.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Willingness to relocate to Columbus, OH area for the summer.
• Not eligible for sponsorship, OPT, or CPT.

Responsabilités

• Support projects in Supply Chain and enterprise resource planning.
• Collaborate with project teams to design and execute initiatives.
• Assist in data analysis, reports and performance metrics for the department.
• Document processes and contribute to safety and operational improvements.
• Engage with team members and mentor relationships during the internship.
• Contribute to meaningful projects and professional development throughout the program.
