Job summary

Arizona State Government’s Department of Economic Security seeks a Program Monitor to ensure compliance of developmental disabilities services across Arizona. You will work with subcontracted vendors, review programs, and enforce contract terms to protect vulnerable populations.

Join a mission-driven team focused on quality, accountability, and stakeholder training, with statewide travel and on-site assessments across the Division of Developmental Disabilities.

Qualifications

  • Experience drafting concise technical monitoring/auditing reports.
  • Ability to gather operational context during vendor/interviews and reviews.
  • Knowledge of state regulations and contract provisions related to developmental disabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify risks and non-compliance trends.
  • Familiarity with creating corrective action plans and remediation tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct statewide field evaluations to monitor community and residential facilities against health-safety standards.
  • Perform on-site reviews and vendor readiness evaluations across Arizona.
  • Prepare formal monitoring/auditing reports and referrals for corrective action plans.
  • Execute follow-up inspections to verify CAP implementation.
  • Deliver technical guidance to external Qualified Vendors.
  • Assess historical data and risk to pre-plan targeted monitoring plans.
  • Evaluate new vendors for readiness prior to operation.
  • Respond to emergencies with on-site reviews when needed.
