Job summary

Abraxas Youth & Family Services in Brattleboro, VT is seeking a Program Manager to lead a residential treatment facility. You will oversee front-line supervisors, coordinate with clinical and operational teams, ensure compliance, and support admissions and client flow to maintain high-quality services.

The role emphasizes mission-driven leadership, staff development, and adherence to contractual and regulatory standards in a dynamic therapeutic setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in residential and/or non-residential program or facility operations; OR
• High school diploma or equivalent and at least six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in residential and/or non-residential program or facility operations
• Minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Criminal clearances (Specific State, child clearances BCI&I and, if necessary, FBI).
• Non-communicable diseases physical exam, drug test
• Valid unrestricted Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of front-line supervisors to maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic residential environment.
• Collaborate with clinical, educational, and operational teams to support individualized treatment planning and coordinated program delivery.
• Support staffing coverage, scheduling, and timekeeping practices to ensure compliance, continuity of care, and responsible use of overtime.
• Ensure program operations and documentation meet contractual, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Participate in treatment team discussions and provide guidance related to youth behavior, progress, and program needs.
• Support admissions, discharges, and overall client flow to promote smooth and effective facility operations.
• Serve as a communication link between front-line supervisors and leadership, reinforcing expectations and organizational values.
• Model and promote the organization’s mission, philosophy of care, and guiding principles.

Education
