National Council on Aging, Inc. is seeking a Program Associate, Workforce Development to help plan, coordinate, and implement workforce development initiatives within the Center for Economic Well-Being.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of one year of experience providing technical assistance or in a related role.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience in employment and training programs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to stakeholder needs.
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and communicate effectively in internal and external settings.
  • Experience supporting nonprofit or grant-funded programs, including tracking deliverables, organizing reports, monitoring activities, and assisting with day-to-day program operations.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 10-20%.
  • Experience working with older adults, diverse communities, minority populations, low-income communities, or other underserved populations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and support to network members to build capacity toward an expansive, sustainable infrastructure for programs.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for grantees, service delivery partners, and community-based organizations to support program implementation and grant objectives.
  • Monitor program activities and partner performance; manage relationships and assist with contract administration, reporting, and invoicing.
  • Review subgrantee reports and program data to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement and reporting to funding agencies.
  • Serve as an ambassador for NCOA's mission by building relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
  • Apply SCSEP policies, procedures, and program requirements with Workforce Development team for compliant implementation.
  • Monitor and triage SCSEP inbox communications and respond or escalate as appropriate.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of program reporting templates, tracking tools, handbooks, and other resources.
  • Utilize NCOA systems (Cumulus, Zengine, GPMS) to support program administration and reporting.
  • Track reporting deadlines and prepare monitoring/ reporting templates for grant oversight.
  • Review subgrantee quarterly narrative reports for NCOA quarterly Department of Labor reporting.
  • Provide administrative support including data entry and document management for the Workforce Development team.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, trainings, conferences, webinars, travel, and other program activities.
  • Foster collaboration across NCOA to support program implementation and continuous quality improvement.
  • Participate in team meetings and travel as needed to support grantee relationships and priorities.
  • Assist with development of grant proposals and other funding opportunities.
