Job summary

Optum Colorado is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Briargate clinic team in Colorado Springs, CO. This outpatient role focuses on adult and senior patients with comprehensive care and documentation support.

You will collaborate with a diverse team using Epic EMR, coordinate with specialists, and advance value-based, high-quality primary care. Competitive compensation includes benefits and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted APRN or PA license in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Prescribing authority or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• DEA license or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• 2+ years of NP/PA experience, preferably in primary care or family medicine.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care in outpatient setting.
• Comfortable seeing patients of all ages; primarily adults/senior base.
• Average daily patient census: 18-20 patients.
• Complete timely and thorough documentation.
• Formulate diagnostic and treatment plans.
• Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and procedures.
• Order lab and imaging tests to determine and manage an immediate treatment plan and provide advice on follow up.
• Coordinate care with specialists and appropriate ancillary services.
• Maintain quality of care standards as defined by the practice.
