Job summary

Optum in Colorado Springs seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Briargate clinic team. You will manage outpatient patient care, see adults mainly, and coordinate with specialists to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted APRN or PA license in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Prescribing authority or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• DEA license or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• 2+ years of NP/PA experience, preferably in primary care or family medicine.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care in outpatient setting.
• Comfortable seeing patients of all ages; primarily adults/senior base.
• Average daily patient census: 18-20 patients.
• Complete timely and thorough documentation.
• Formulate diagnostic and treatment plans.
• Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and procedures.
• Coordinate care with specialists and ancillary services.
