Job summary

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (American Heart Association)
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in good standing
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to perform patient transfers with assistance as needed.
• Ensures safe body mechanics to protect staff and patients.
• Designs and adjusts plan of care incorporating goals, outcomes, and discharge planning.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes of care.
• Performs examination with appropriate methods relevant to chief complaint and history.
• Produces documentation in the EMR per policy.
• Screens patients to determine effectiveness and need for further therapy services.
• Monitors care delivered by support personnel and provides feedback.
