Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our home health team in Indiana. You will deliver therapy services per the plan, assist patients in improving mobility and independence, and educate families on home treatments.

This role requires an active PTA license, graduation from an accredited PTA program, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and travel to patient homes. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PTA license for the state of work.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services according to the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
• Help patients work toward therapy goals that improve mobility, function, and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes in condition or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs and techniques to support continued progress.
• Teach patients and families how to safely use assistive devices, including canes, walkers, wheelchairs, prosthetics, and orthotics.
• Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services in accordance with physician orders, clinical standards, and state practice guidelines.
