Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support home-based patient care in Indiana. You will work under a Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans, educate families, and ensure safe use of assistive devices.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program.
• 6+ months experience as a PTA preferred.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds.
• Must possess a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to travel between patient homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services per the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
• Help patients work toward therapy goals that improve mobility, function, and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs and techniques.
• Teach patients and families how to safely use assistive devices (canes, walkers, wheelchairs, prosthetics, orthotics).
• Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services in accordance with physician orders and state guidelines.
