Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our home health team in Bloomington, Indiana. You will deliver therapy per the treatment plan, help patients regain mobility and independence, and report progress to the supervising PT.

This role requires an unrestricted PTA license valid for Indiana, a program graduate, and a willingness to travel between patient homes. We offer comprehensive benefits, 401(k) with match, tuition reimbursement, PTO, and fleet vehicle

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment.
• Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, OR have reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services according to the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
• Help patients work toward therapy goals that improve mobility, function, and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes in condition or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs and techniques to support continued progress.
• Teach patients and families how to safely use assistive devices, including canes, walkers, wheelchairs, prosthetics, and orthotics.
• Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services in accordance with physician orders, clinical standards, and state practice guidelines.
