Job summary

Acelero Learning Delaware seeks a Substitute Preschool Teacher for the White Oak Center in Dover. This part-time role supports Head Start classroom for 3- to 4-year-olds, working with one other teacher to cover a class of 14–20 children.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Physical exam and background checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Follows the curriculum during coverage.
• Plans and implements learning experiences to support literacy, numeracy, and language development.
• Maintains a safe, healthy learning environment with proper supervision of children.
• Uses positive-guidance approaches to manage challenging behaviors.
• Engages with families to support children's development.
• Works with the other teacher and center staff to run the classroom.
• Communicates scheduling changes to the Center Director and team.
