Job summary

Acelero Learning Delaware is seeking a Head Start Teacher to lead a joyful 3–5-year-old classroom in Dover, Delaware, promoting school readiness, literacy, language, and social-emotional development.

You will implement a child-centered curriculum, build family partnerships through home visits and conferences, and support diverse learners, including those with IEPs, while documenting progress with digital tools.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent coursework.
• Pass a physical exam and background check.
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and actively engage with children.

Responsibilities

• Lead a joyful, inclusive classroom that promotes school readiness, literacy, language, and social-emotional development.
• Implement a child-centered curriculum reflecting the needs and backgrounds of the children you serve.
• Foster family partnerships by conducting home visits, hosting parent-teacher conferences, and involving families in learning.
• Support diverse learners, including children with disabilities, by integrating IEPs into daily instruction.
• Document and assess progress using observations and digital tools to tailor instruction.
