Job summary

Boys & Girls Club of Alcoa is seeking a part-time Education Director to lead tutoring, curriculum development, and youth engagement. This role focuses on delivering high-quality educational activities and ensuring safe, supportive environments for members.

The Education Director collaborates with schools, recruits volunteers, and plans field trips while managing program budgets and guiding instructors to promote healthy development in youth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least two years of work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities for youth.
• Knowledge of curriculum design, teaching methods and measuring training impact.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and oversee educational activities and programs.
• Monitor delivery and coordinate with staff for improvements.
• Lead Project Learn and High Yield Learning activities.
• Communicate with parents, staff, and partner agencies about tutoring and learning opportunities.
• Recruit and train volunteers to support tutoring and homework help.
• Plan field trips and coordinate events.
• Ensure safety and health standards for members.
