Job summary

Hondo ISD is seeking a Substitute Teacher to cover instructional duties district-wide in Hondo, Texas. You will deliver lessons, assist staff and students, and maintain classroom routines during the absence of the regular teacher.

Required are at least a High School diploma or GED and clearance of a fingerprinting/background check; applicants should be 21+. References with emails are requested. Position is part-time and daily pay applies.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification: High School or GED recognized by TEA or regional accrediting agency. Must have a satisfactory fingerprinting/background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct instructional activities outlined by the teacher.
• Maintain the regular classroom schedule.
• Follow district guidelines for classroom management, discipline, and confidentiality.
• Support the mission of the school district by serving as a positive role model for students.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
