Job summary

Jourdanton ISD is seeking dependable substitute teachers who can commit to at least 15 full-day assignments per school year. Applicants must complete online employment documents, undergo fingerprinting through the FACT clearinghouse, and attend substitute orientation.

A state-issued photo ID and Social Security card are required for orientation. Fingerprinting is through TX DPS and scheduling instructions will be emailed after application review.

Job description

Jourdanton ISD is looking for substitute teachers who can commit to working at least 15 full day assignments per school year. We value your service and would like to give substitutes the opportunity to work on a consistent basis.

Requirements (no exceptions):

• Background check
• FACT clearinghouse Fingerprinting
• High School Diploma/GED
• Completion of required online employment documents
• Attendance at substitute orientation
• Ability to teach at least 15 days per school year

Process:

Fingerprinting: Required through TX DPS prior to being invited to the substitute orientation (only if you are not already in the FACT clearinghouse). The fee for being fingerprinted is the sole responsibility of the applicant. Once you have completed your application and meet the minimum qualifications, instructions from IdentoGO will be emailed to you explaining how to schedule your appointment for fingerprinting.

After your fingerprinting results have been verified by administration, you will be scheduled for substitute orientation.

NOTE: You must bring a state issued photo ID and social security card to the substitute orientation. Without all the required steps completed, you will not be allowed to begin working.

Substitute Pay Information:

$80 Daily- for paraprofessional positions

$100 Daily- for teaching positions

$110 Daily, long-term non-certified teacher teaching positions

$175 Daily, long-term certified teacher teaching positions

*Long-term is 10 or more days in one assignment.

*1/2 day assignments are paid half of the daily rate. Half days include days that end at 11:30.
