Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive learning environment and respond to individual student needs.
• Implement effective lessons in the absence of the regular instructor.
• Ensure district policies are observed during all activities.
• Create a safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Keep all children in the classroom under supervision at all times.
• Be familiar with safety procedures and review notes, take attendance and follow lesson plans.
• Maintain FERPA confidentiality.
• Demonstrate adaptability, good judgment, and appropriate language on assignment.
• Report for duty 30 minutes early and stay through the entire assignment, including planning time.
