Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is hiring a Hospital Based Patient Advocate in St. Louis, MO, full-time, onsite at a hospital. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with in-person support to guide patients through financial assistance programs.

The role focuses on bedside eligibility screening, thorough application completion, and close collaboration with hospital staff to improve access to care and coverage for uninsured patients.

Qualifications

• Some college coursework preferred and hospital exposure is a plus.
• Experience with state and federal programs is valued.
• Strong communication and documentation skills are required.
• Ability to navigate hospital settings and assist patients at bedside.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside for eligibility for federal, state, and county programs.
• Complete applications and follow through until approvals are obtained.
• Document cases accurately in Elevate PFS and hospital systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain case queues.
• Collaborate with hospital staff, case managers, and social workers.
• Assist patients in gathering documents and scheduling enrollment steps.
