Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a Hospital Based Patient Advocate in St. Louis, MO, fully onsite in a hospital setting.

The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM, with direct, face-to-face patient interactions to guide uninsured patients through Medicaid and other financial assistance programs. You will evaluate eligibility, complete applications, and coordinate with hospital staff, case managers, and social workers to ensure timely enrollment and follow-up.

Formación

• Some college coursework preferred.
• Professional experience in hospital settings preferred.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities.
• Experience with state/federal programs a plus.
• Ability to navigate hospital environments and patient rooms.

Responsabilidades

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside to determine eligibility for federal/state programs.
• Complete and follow through on applications until approval.
• Document cases accurately in Elevate PFS and hospital systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Maintain and manage the assigned work queue of patient accounts.
• Collaborate with hospital staff and social workers in person and in writing.
• Answer calls, make outbound calls, and track paperwork for Medicaid enrollment and renewals.
• Maintain timely contact with applicants and government agencies.
• Assist applicants with gathering reports and arranging transportation if needed.
• Conduct in-person community visits to obtain documentation.
• Inform clients promptly of approvals/denials of coverage.
• Attend ongoing training on current rules and programs.
