Job summary

Illinois CancerCare is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to join our oncology team. You will work with physicians to assess, diagnose, and manage cancer patients across outpatient and satellite clinics, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

You will perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies, educate patients and families, and participate in interdisciplinary rounds. Commitment to collaboration, continual learning, and exceptional patient care is essential.

Qualifications

• MSN in Nursing from an accredited program.
• NP program completed and eligible for NP licensure.
• Current RN licensure and Illinois nursing registration.
• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Illinois.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• 1–3 years post-MSN oncology or related specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert oncology care including assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and symptom management.
• Manage acute and chronic cancer-related conditions and treatment side effects.
• Perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and manage oncology emergencies.
• Provide care at satellite clinics with autonomy and physician collaboration.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and side effects.
