Illinois CancerCare is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our dedicated oncology team in Illinois. You will work independently and with physicians to assess, diagnose, and manage patients across outpatient and satellite clinics.

Qualifications

• MSN from an accredited nursing program
• Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program
• Current RN licensure and Illinois registration
• Current NP licensure in Illinois
• NCCPA certification for PAs
• BLS/CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Deliver oncology care including assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and symptom management
• Manage acute and chronic cancer-related conditions
• Perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and manage emergencies
• Provide care at satellite clinics with autonomy and physician collaboration
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and side effects
• Maintain EMR documentation and participate in team meetings
• Develop and deliver educational programs and mentor nursing staff
• Collaborate with the Lead APP to address knowledge gaps
• Direct strategic planning of the APP program and advocate for APP roles
