Job summary

Charlotte Community Health Clinic is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closes. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain the general ledger, and support the CFO with audits, budgeting, and compliance while mentoring accounting staff.

The role reports to the CFO in the Finance department and emphasizes adherence to GAAP and strong internal controls within a Federally Qualified Health Center setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
• Minimum of 5 years within the accounting/finance field.
• Experience with audits, close processes, forecasting, financial reporting, and budgeting.
• Experience with accounting software such as Blackbaud Financial Edge.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual close processes.
• Monitor cash flow to support forecasting and capital management.
• Maintain general ledger with thorough documentation and record-keeping.
• Oversee daily accounting operations for timely, accurate processes.
• Prepare and present financial reports to CFO and leadership team.
• Oversee AP/AR processes and liaison with external auditors.
