The role requires 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities, and a solid GAAP background. Collaboration with program staff and external auditors is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience owning month-end close.
• Nonprofit accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and support budget-to-actual reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting requirements.
• Coordinate annual audit activities and maintain internal controls.
• Track and report on restricted funds, grants, and donor contributions.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff.
