Job summary

KIPP New Orleans Schools (KNOS) is seeking passionate teachers to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction in a high-expectations environment. You will plan, differentiate, and assess to close achievement gaps, using HQIM resources and frequent data analysis to inform instruction.

Qualifications

• State teaching credential required.
• Two years of teaching experience in urban, open enrollment schools preferred.
• Strong track record of raising student achievement.
• Identity/work authorization and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction using HQIM and clear objectives.
• Differentiate and scaffold instruction to meet diverse learners.
• Plan, assess, and adapt units focusing on conceptual understanding and standards.
• Use data (interims, state tests) to inform instruction and reteach as needed.
• Provide timely, actionable feedback and maintain transparent grading.
• Coordinate with DSS/ESL staff and ensure accommodations for IEP/504 plans.
• Lead/participate in data meetings and contribute to common assessments.
