Qualifications

• Requires valid Missouri paraprofessional certificate and/or minimum 60 college credit hours and Missouri substitute teaching certificate; transcripts/test results required.
• Bachelor's degree and appropriate Missouri teaching certification preferred, not required.
• Criminal justice fingerprint and background clearance.
• Alternatives to the above qualifications may be acceptable as determined by the Board/Superintendent.
• Coaching experience is not required, but is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Works with individual students or small groups to reinforce material introduced by certified staff.
• Assists certified staff in devising strategies based on individual student needs and abilities.
• Monitors work, corrects papers, and supervises tests and makeup work as assigned.
• Performs clerical, classroom maintenance, and instructional duties as directed.
• Alerts staff to problems or information about individual students.
• Supervises students during lunch, play, and field trips.
• Maintains confidentiality of student information and follows safety practices.
