Job summary

The Aide BSS at SECONDARY is a middle school paraeducator supporting students with severe emotional and behavioral disabilities in academics, behavior, social and self-care. You will follow IEPs, implement Positive Behavior Support, and collaborate with staff to maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment.

You will assist with personal care tasks, data collection, and adapting lessons under teacher guidance, across multiple grade levels and settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college hours completed or passing score on the Para Professional Assessment.
• Certification for Texas Educational Aide preferred or required after hire.
• De-Escalation/Restraint certification preferred or required after hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a highly structured environment with consistent routines.
• Apply Positive Behavior Support strategies to manage classroom behavior.
• Assist in implementing IEPs, BIPs, and related accommodations.
• Support in delivering academic and functional lessons across grade levels.
• Collect and analyze data to monitor progress toward IEP goals.
• Assist students with personal care needs (may exceed 50% of day).
