Hendricks Behavioral Hospital in Indiana is seeking an Outpatient Medical Assistant (IOP) to support scheduling and care coordination for initial psychiatric evaluations and follow-ups. You will liaise with patients and providers, send reminders, and assist with administrative tasks under supervision.

This is a full-time role with comprehensive benefits. Requirements include a high school diploma (Associates preferred) and 2+ years in an intensive outpatient psychiatric setting, with HIPAA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• At least two years in an intensive outpatient program in an acute psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Schedule initial psychiatric evaluations and medication management follow-up appointments.
• Coordinate with providers and staff to optimize appointment flow and reduce wait times.
• Take and record vital signs and collect medical history.
• Administer medications and injections under Provider supervision (as allowed).
• Serve as primary contact for patients with appointment questions and reminders.
• Maintain accurate scheduling logs and patient records; ensure HIPAA compliance.
