We are excited to announce the opening of the Medical Assistant (IOP) at Hendricks Behavioral Hospital. This role supports scheduling and care coordination for initial psychiatric evaluations and medication management follow-up appointments within the Outpatient Department. This role serves as a liaison between patients and providers for appointment-related questions, ensures timely confirmations and reminders, and provides direct support for administration tasks delegated by the Outpatient Provider, Administrative Support and Director of Outpatient. The MA will help improve clinical workflow, increase medication management visit capacity, and enhance patient care coordination.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.
Experience: Preferably two or more years’ experience in an intensive outpatient program in an acute psychiatric setting. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric hospital setting including customer contact.
