Job summary

Journey is seeking a nurse leader to oversee a care team in a Stone Mountain, GA facility. This role directs daily nursing activities, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports admissions, discharges and transfers with a focus on holistic resident care.

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold a Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state.
• CPR certification and experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurse and CNAs per regulations and facility policies.
• Follow nursing model to promote holistic resident care.
• Ensure policy and procedure compliance by nursing staff.
• Participate in admissions, discharges and transfers of residents.
• Assess changes in residents' status and notify physician and family, document accordingly.
• Transcribe physician orders and carry out orders as written.
