Journey is seeking a nurse leader to oversee the daily work of licensed practical/vocational nurses and CNAs, ensuring care aligns with current regulations and facility policies. This role emphasizes holistic resident care within a supportive home office team context.

The position involves managing admissions, discharges and transfers, assessing resident status changes, and documenting communications with physicians and families. Equal opportunity employer.

Formación

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Long-term care experience preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations and guidelines and established facility policies and procedures.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for the residents.
• Ensures that policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel assigned.
• Participates in the admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assesses for changes in residents’ status, notifying the physician and resident’s family or representative and documenting accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical record and carries out orders as written.
