Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Teaches district-approved curriculum daily and translates lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences for elementary students.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials, providing individualized and small group instruction to differentiate learning.
• Creates a safe, positive classroom environment conducive to learning and tailored to student needs, using varied instructional techniques and media to meet Iowa Core standards.
• Establishes learning objectives and maintains student behavior standards for an effective learning atmosphere.
• Tracks student progress and assists in developing IEPs; communicates with parents as needed.
