Job summary

Mutual Housing Association of Greater Hartford is seeking an Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist to ensure program adherence across LIHTC, Section 8 and HUD guidelines. You will manage records, support recertifications, and coordinate reviews with property teams.

Required certifications, a relevant degree, and at least 2 years in affordable housing compliance; proficiency with RealPage/OneSite and MS Office; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. On-site role in Hartford, CT.

Qualifications

• Certifications in HUD occupancy, LIHTC, HOME, Fair Housing, Section 8 and related standards.
• Degree in business, housing, public administration or related field; substantial experience may substitute.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on affordable housing certification, recertification, and compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and RealPage/OneSite or related tools for record keeping and reporting.
• Experience coordinating language assistance; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with LIHTC, Section 8 and HUD programs.
• Maintain records with property management tools and case management systems; prepare compliance reports.
• Support annual and interim recertifications and monitor deadlines.
• Coordinate compliance review for regulated move-in files.
• Perform quality-control file reviews for documentation accuracy.
• Prepare recurring compliance reports for HUD, CHFA, Spectrum, investors, and partners.
• Collaborate with Compliance Manager on calendar, reporting deadlines, inspections, and certifications.
• Work with Property Management Teams to obtain documentation and resolve file issues.
• Develop proficiency with RealPage/OneSite and support related technology.
