Job summary

Washington State House of Representatives is seeking Legislative Assistants to support a New House Republican Caucus Member. This full-time, year-round role involves office management, constituent communications, bill tracking, and coordination with the Office of Program Research.

Salary ranges are published and commensurate with experience. Positions are based in Olympia with session duties in Olympia and interim opportunities in district offices.

Qualifications

• Two years of office management and administrative support experience.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
• Strong writing, editing, and oral communication skills with professional formatting.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operation of Olympia and/or district office.
• Maintain office records and handle constituent inquiries with professionalism.
• Draft responses to emails, letters, and phone calls on behalf of the Representative.
• Track bills and assist in preparing briefings for members.
