Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs, a division of ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education, seeks an Education Coordinator to lead our Special Education team for Grades K-12 in Oakland. You will guide teachers, ensure IEPs and PBIPs are implemented, and drive student growth in a collaborative, data‑driven culture.

This full‑time, on-site role emphasizes partnering with districts, families, and staff to uphold state standards while fostering safe, engaging classrooms and ongoing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or a closely related field.
• CA state special education credential preferred.
• BCBA or related credential preferred.
• Ability to obtain crisis management certification.
• Experience in educational leadership or school administration.
• Experience with IEPs, special education compliance, and ABA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in IEP meetings and PBIP development for students.
• Coach teachers to implement evidence-based practices and safe classroom environments.
• Monitor IEP/PBIP progress and data collection to ensure personalized support.
• Collaborate with parents, districts, and staff to support student goals.
• Design schedules and plan transitions to support IEP goals.
• Review student progress and advise staff on emerging needs.
