Job summary

Riverside Methodist Hospital in Ohio is seeking a Lactation Consultant to support the Women’s Center with lactation services, education, and patient care decisions. The role includes clinical visits, telephone support, and coordination of breast pumps and retail items.

The position requires RN licensure in Ohio, an Associate degree or higher, and BSN within 5 years. Certification as CLC or IBCLC must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma, Associate degree, or BSN required.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• BSN required within 5 years of employment.
• Must obtain CLC or IBCLC within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide education, demonstration and assistance with breastfeeding problems for mothers and infants.
• Coordinate breast pumps and retail accessories, including rental and sales.
• May conduct prenatal and post-discharge classes and support for breastfeeding mothers.
• Assist in writing policies, procedures, and materials for the Lactation Program.
