Job summary

Requires RN, BSN, and certification in lactation (CLC or IBCLC) within 6 months. Part-time position with a 16-hour weekly schedule; collaborative, educational duties are emphasized.

Qualifications

• BSN degree or higher.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Must obtain CLC or IBCLC within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Educates, demonstrates, and assists with correcting breastfeeding problems for mothers and infants, beyond normal nursing care.
• Coordinates breast pumps and retail accessories (rental and sales).
• Provides prenatal and post-discharge classes and support for breastfeeding mothers.
• Collaborates in policy writing and maintains care continuum with Lactation Consultant.
• Engages in continuing education and attends relevant meetings and conferences.
