Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist at Case Preparatory Academy in Akron, Ohio to support students with IEP goals and behavior plans within an inclusive classroom environment. You will collaborate with teachers to implement interventions and monitor progress.

Key responsibilities include diagnostic assessments, behavior plans, IEP meetings, and family communication. Strong organizational skills and proficiency with MS Office are preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
• Ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Work with teachers to interpret student abilities and disabilities and modify general education curricula.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and write behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write goals/objectives.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress.
• Support planning of non-instructional activities and events.
