Job summary

Community Partners in Action, Inc. in Hartford, CT is seeking an Intervention Specialist for the Hartford Alternative in the Community (HAIC) program.

The role focuses on reducing recidivism through evidence-based interventions and case management within a diverse client base. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combined education/experience in social services, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of 4 years of education and experience in social services, criminal justice, or related field.
• Knowledge of cognitive-behavioral approaches is important.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, plans, and facilitates individual and group training sessions with integrity and fidelity to curriculum/manual.
• Meets with clients individually to ensure understanding of content of services.
• Performs case management functions as directed.
• Demonstrates clear, accurate and concise written and verbal communication.
• Maintains client motivation and addresses ambivalence to support behavior change.
