Job summary

Abilene ISD is seeking an Instructional Aide to provide instructional assistance to students under the direct supervision of a certified teacher at the Long Early Learning Center. You will help prepare materials, assist with classroom activities, and support testing and records management.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred qualifications including an associate degree or two years of college and state paraprofessional certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or two years of college encouraged.
• State Paraprofessional Certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students under the direction of a teacher, working with individuals or small groups.
• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective tests or assignments.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Assist with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment; manage records as required.
