Lyric Opera of Chicago is seeking an Institutional Partnerships Associate to support the Institutional Partnerships team, including the VP of Development and the Director of Institutional Partnerships, in strengthening corporate, foundation, and government partnerships.

You will assist with grant applications, donor communications, prospect research, and Tessitura data management while coordinating meetings and special events. A 1–3 year nonprofit fundraising background is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in non-profit development, institutional fundraising, corporate relations
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Tessitura CRM
• Positive, can-do approach to work.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills; ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
• Project management experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
• Personal charisma and the ability to represent Lyric to donors

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrate leadership in alignment with Lyric's mission and vision.
• Perform general administrative duties for VP of Development and IP Team to support workload balance and events.
• Coordinate IP meetings, donor visits, and other meetings with leadership including invitations, presentations, and site visits.
• Assist with organizing, preparing, writing, and tracking letters of inquiry, grant applications, and reports.
• Support prospect research for the IP team including profiles and lifetime giving summaries.
• Maintain accurate records of institutional partners, gifts, and plans in Tessitura.
• Ensure donor acknowledgement in print and digital collateral and Tessitura.
• Attend and assist with Lyric and Development events, projects, and Board meetings.
• Coordinate with internal staff to maintain high-level donor service.
• As business evolves, duties may change as Lyric leadership identifies needs.
