Job summary

Chicago Scholars is seeking an Associate Director of Partnerships & Community Engagement to build and nurture a diverse network of community, nonprofit, and government partners. You will translate relationships into funding, programs, and opportunities for Scholars, while strengthening internal processes and reporting.

You’ll oversee partnership operations, data integrity, and renewals, and represent the organization at external events.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5–7 years of progressive experience in partnerships, community engagement, external affairs, or related areas.
Willingness to participate in occasional evening or weekend events.
Able to meet Chicago Scholars’ location and residency expectations.

Responsibilities

Build, manage, and grow a portfolio of community, nonprofit, philanthropic, civic, and government partners.
Develop engagement plans and stewardship strategies to increase partner value.
Maintain partnership information, dashboards, and reports with stakeholders.
Manage MOUs, renewals, and related workflows with internal teams.
Represent Chicago Scholars at events and coalition meetings to raise awareness.
Lead cross‑functional partnership projects and coordinate annual events.
