Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital is seeking a Part-time Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat medically disabled patients, providing education to patients and families and consults to healthcare personnel. The role focuses on evaluating functional status, developing care plans, and delivering therapy in an acute inpatient setting.

The ideal candidate is a licensed Physical Therapist in Michigan with 1-2 years of inpatient acute care experience or related exposure.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Current license as Physical Therapist in the State of Michigan.
• 1-2 years inpatient acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical and functional status (strength, motor function, gait).
• Perform sensory, manual muscle, ROM tests and document progress.
• Develop short and long-term therapy goals and treatment plans.
• Provide treatment using PT procedures (exercise, gait training, modalities, devices).
• Delegate tasks and supervise therapy staff and interns as needed.
• Coordinate with physicians and health-care team for plan adjustments.
• Assist in discharge planning and patient/family education.
