Job summary

HopeHealth in Providence, RI is seeking an experienced Infection Control and Occupational Health RN for a part-time role (24 hours per week). The RN will lead infection prevention initiatives, perform compliance reviews, and coordinate surveys with accrediting bodies while collaborating with HR and facilities to maintain a safe workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• RN dual license in both Mass and RI is required.
• Five (5) years healthcare experience with in-depth clinical knowledge.
• Minimum of two years’ clinical experience in a Home Care/Hospice setting preferred.
• Experience working with patients and staff at risk for infections or communicable disease.

Responsibilities

• Develops tools and processes to support infection prevention and occupational health.
• Creates audits and reporting tools to support initiatives throughout the organization.
• Participates in coordination of survey readiness for infection prevention and occupational health including accrediting surveys.
• Collects and analyzes quality and audit data including CMS and accrediting metrics.
• Develops and presents ongoing training with an infection prevention focus.
• Organizes and leads initiatives relating to infection prevention and occupational safety.
• Collaborates on HopeHealth’s annual Infection Control Plan.
• Reviews pre-employment health histories and immunization records for compliance.
• Reviews drug screening results and coordinates follow-up with HR.
• Collaborates with external partners to meet credentialing requirements.
• Oversees return-to-work and light-duty programs.
• Acts as the point of contact for workplace exposures.
