Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver skilled services in patients' homes. You will work under supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to implement plans, monitor progress, and document outcomes in accordance with physician orders and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• ACOTE-accredited OTA program completion or eligibility after ACOTE-approved program.
• Licensed to practice as an OTA in the assigned state.
• Eligible to take or having completed the NBCOT exam for OTA.
• CPR certification currently valid.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled interventions under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
• Document each visit per AOTA guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Observe and report patient responses and condition changes to the OT and care team.
• Provide resources to patient/caregiver for future ADL/IADL needs.
• Promote wellness and engagement in daily activities.
• Recommend follow-up care with the admitting care center.
• Stay current with OT trends and best practices to support care and documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
