Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, provides home health, hospice and community-based services that help people receive quality care at home. As an Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate and treat patients in their homes to promote independence, safety and improved quality of life.

Primary responsibilities include delivering therapy under a physician-approved plan, ensuring all problems are addressed, timely documentation, and supervising home health aides when the RN is not active.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited OT program.
• Current OT license for the state you will work in.
• Eligible to take or completed NBCOT certification exam.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1+ year OT experience; mentoring if less than 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provide OT services under a physician-approved plan of care.
• Ensure plan of care addresses all identified problems.
• Ensure safety and effectiveness of OT service delivery.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
• Supervise home health aide when RN is not active in the case.
• Other duties as assigned.
