The Standard seeks an underwriter for the Employee Benefits team in the United States. The role analyzes risk for new and renewing groups, applies underwriting guidelines, and ensures accurate case implementation.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 1 year of insurance experience, preferably in disability benefits.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including data extraction, formatting, and basic formula functions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain information clearly and effectively.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and evaluate new business, sold cases, and renewal risks while applying underwriting guidelines and contract provisions.
• Support business growth and profitability by validating rates, plan designs, and insurance risk assessments.
• Partner with Underwriting, Contracts, Premium Administration, and Field teams to ensure accurate and timely implementation of cases.
• Resolve implementation and service issues through effective communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Manage multiple priorities, identify process improvements, and provide subject matter expertise, training support, and mentorship to team members.
