Job summary

Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indian seeks an experienced Housing & Community Development Office Administrator to supervise staff, improve workflows, and ensure grant compliance. You will lead administrative operations, coordinate budgets, and provide accurate reports to the Director.

Responsibilities include overseeing front office functions, managing data in housing software, coordinating project files and inspections, and collaborating with other departments to deliver quality services to Tribal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, housing/real estate management, public administration or related field.
• Four years of program administration, operations, or compliance experience in a human services environment.
• One year supervisory experience or completing a leadership course.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with HUD/NAHASDA, Davis-Bacon Act compliance and grants administration preferred.
• Experience with contractor coordination, project tracking, client intake, eligibility determination, and case management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction, coaching, and development of staff; manage hiring, training, and performance.
• Oversee office workflows and ensure compliance with procedures and deadlines.
• Develop department goals and align with organizational initiatives.
• Assist with program budgets and grant management reporting.
• Maintain data in housing software and records.
• Coordinate space, inventory, and maintenance for projects.
• Communicate program services to citizens and stakeholders.
• Ensure front desk staffing and safe, orderly work environment.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver high-level service.
