Job summary

The Salvation Army in Seattle seeks an Outreach & Engagement Specialist 1 to support homeless Individuals living in vehicles in King County. You will conduct in-person outreach, assess housing readiness, provide referrals, and coordinate with community partners to secure housing and needed services.

Responsibilities include intensive case management, advocating with landlords, maintaining HMIS records, and collaborating with agencies on mental health, employment, and social services.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 2+ years in related social services required.
• 2 years of demonstrated experience in related social services.
• Experience with Coordinated Entry for All (CEA), RRH, and partner agencies preferred.
• Experience in human relations, trauma-informed care, networking and resource building.
• Experience with HMIS entries, exits, and reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive housing assistance and referrals.
• Advocate between clients and property managers to support housing.
• Coordinate services with other agencies and resources.
• Maintain client case records and required reports in HMIS.
• Participate in meetings and perform administrative duties as assigned.
