Job summary

Weiser Memorial Hospital in Weiser, ID is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to join our team. The EVS technician cleans all areas of the hospital following policies and procedures to maintain a safe, sanitary environment.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning of patient rooms and common areas, trash removal, linen duties, and supporting quality improvement activities as part of the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
• One to three (1-3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, offices and clinical areas to sanitary standards.
• Maintains floors, linens, waste disposal and supplies as directed.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and carts; reports safety hazards.
• Follows infection control practices and standard precautions.
• Works day, weekend, evening or night shift as assigned.
